An entire generation of aging Ghanaians, literally thousands of grandmothers and grandfathers, has been left destitute and often homeless by major upheavals in the traditional extended family system. Rapid industrialization, urban growth and other western-styled change has occurred at the same time the number of Ghanaians reaching their sixties has increased. A great need has risen within our communities. The Shepherd’s Centre of Aging Ghana answers that need.
